Author: Truman Capote

Favorite Line

"The stars were his pleasure, but tonight they did not comfort him; they did not make him remember that what happens on earth is lost in the endless shine of eternity."

My Thoughts

I decided to read this because the title sounded interesting. I didn't have any idea what it was about until I read the first pages. I'll tell you I got a little worried when I read the word prison, but surprisingly it all turned out alright. I found the story rather enjoyable. I think what was best was not the plot so much as the character descriptions, and the little elements of the characters' lives. I want to read more stories by Truman Capote now. The only thing I've read of his is Breakfast at Tiffany's. I think In Cold Blood in hiding somewhere in the library as well. I'll have to get to reading that some time soon.

See you later loves. Watchmen review is coming about the end of the week. I wanted to watch the movie before posting the book review. Keep it shiny all!

You know I've never even read Breakfast at Tiffany's and have only seen bits and pieces of the movie. I did see the movie Capote and found TC to have lead a pretty interesting and unusual life. I should seek out his books. Thanks for the review!

Cheers, Bonnie
