My Epic Reading Adventures: Vlog It

Chapter 16: Vlog It

I've finally admitted something to myself that I should have a long time ago. I am a totally slow writer. Yep. That voice recognition software I said I should get to help me with the learning difference issues I talked about in the first installment of this segment. Yeah...I still haven't gotten that. So the it takes an hour to write a paragraph or two thing...Yeah...That's still going on. I came to the conclusion that if I want to review 100 books by the end of the year I'm going to have to do something new and different. However, I couldn't figure out what until Friday.

You see on Friday I was talking to my mom about the book I recently finished Slice of Cherry. By the way, it was the weirdest book I've ever read. I'll tell you all about it in the review. Anyway, she said I should vlog the review for the book instead of writing it, because apparently I was deeply amusing her with my commentary. I thought it was a good idea. Then I though hey I could vlog some of my other upcoming reviews. I want to write most of them, but I think videoing a few will help me pick up the pace with my reviewing. Maybe I could get two or three reviews out a week instead of just one. I'm not sure exactly which books to pick for vloging yet. I'm thinking for sure I will do some of the series books. If you guys want to look at the list of the books I've read so far, and tell me which ones you would like to see me vlog I'm definitely open to suggestions. Nervous but excited to try this. The only down side is that I will actually have to hear the sound of my voice on camera. I sound like a little kid on camera, which so weird to me. However, I've asked others if I sound that way and they disagree. Apparently I don't sound like that to anybody else, but it sure sounds like that to me.

In other news, I am two books away from completing the e-book challenge. Yes! I'm so close to glory I can taste it. Oh, another neat random fact is that this is my 200th post on this blog. Shiny!

Progress Report

Number of Books Completed This Week: 2
Number of Books Completed This Year: 34
Number of Books Left to Complete: 66
Miscellaneous Comments: I don't know what to pick for my next primary read. I'm leaning toward something in the paranormal romance genre. However, maybe I should read something about normal human beings. Hmm...

Happy 200th blog post, hun! Vlogging seems to be the way of the blogger's future, so I say, why not?! Are you familiar with the Vlog Brothers, Hank and John Green? They're two writers and brothers (duh) that took on the challenge of trying to communicate with each other for a year without a single piece of written communication. They vlogged their updates to one another and posted them publicly for everyone to see.

They're hilarious, if you haven't watched them before. My fav. is the one where John uses the Pythagorean theorem to prove unicorns killed Tonks in the Harry Potter series.

Smiles!
