Let's Go To The Hop

Book Blogger Hop

I can't believe it's hop time again. The week went by fast. Time for this weeks Crazy for Books question.

Do you use a rating system for your reviews and if so, what is it and why?

Well if you study my blog you'll notice that I don't use a rating system. I don't have anything against them, they are just not for me. I suppose that is because I'm not sure how to rate a book from bad to excellent. I mean how many elements does a book need to equal a great book? How many elements equal a bad one? It seems that when I read there are both things that I like and perhaps some things I don't. I might like more things that I dislike, or vis versa. However, even when I didn't particularly like a book I've always found at least one thing or idea that I loved. My point within all this babbling, is that when I read I don't think of books with a rating system. Hence, I just discuss my opinion without that, and let you judge whether you agree with me or not. Sorry I got so talkative on that subject. I'm not even sure any of that made since. I hope I expressed that better that I think I did.

On to Follow Friday. I like the way the featured blogger writes her reviews.

That's all for now. See you later. Hmm...I'm trying to decide whether I should put one of the two post I'm planning up tonight or not. I've got my long promised review of The Skull Ring finished I just need to run it through spell check real quick. I also want to post a movie review of The Lovely Bones. I finally got to watch it. Yay! I'll think on it after I post on my song blog. I do so want the posts to be at least somewhat readable. Sometimes when I post reviews when I'm tired they are more words missed or other horrible mistakes, which is never good. Haha. Man I am a babbler tonight. See you later my lovelies. Keep it shiny!

Hi, Jazz!

Just hopping by! I'm already a follower of your blog.

I'm also thinking of scrapping my ratings system and let the review do the talking. We'll see. :)

Hi Jazz, you're up too! I don't use a rating system either I just prefer people make up their own minds whether or not they want to read a book I review.

Have a great weekend, Bonnie

Hi Jazz! I'm a new follower from Parajunkee's hop :)

I use a rating system, although I don't really put much importance to them- pretty much, they serve as a bottomline for my review :)

Have a great weekend!
