Hello all. The day has come for Scott's guest blog. He decided to do the post as a video. Shiny! All the information on how you can win a Kindle and other prizes is below. Good luck my lovelies.
Scott Nicholson is author of The Skull Ring, Speed Dating with the Dead, Drummer Boy, and nine other novels, five story collections, four comics series, and six screenplays. A journalist and freelance editor in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, he often uses local legends in his work. This tour is sponsored byAmazon, Kindle Nation Daily, and Dellaster Design.
To be eligible for the Kindle DX, simply post a comment below with contact info. Feel free to debate and discuss the topic, but you will only be entered once per blog. Visit all the blogs on the tour and increase your odds. I’m also giving away a Kindle 3 through the tour newsletter and a Pandora’s Box of free ebooks to a follower of “hauntedcomputer” on Twitter.
For each book that cracks the Top 100 in the Kindle store, I’ll throw in an extra Kindle 3 giveaway. So tell your friends and help out. Thanks for playing. Complete details at http://www.hauntedcomputer. com/blogtour.htm

Hi, Scott. Steve O'Rourke here, better known to you from the Amazon Horror Book thread as "Nick Jones" (which is the name of my addiction). It's cool that you've shown us your workspace, but I wish the Godzilla model had been displayed more prominently! ;)
It's pretty neat to see other people's workspace. I think you can tell a lot about a person by looking at their desk.

Thanks for sharing the "behind the scenes" look into your life :) I'm picturing you writing two stories at once, typing one with your right hand, the other with your left.

Definitely a contest that'll get bloggers reading his books, if they haven't already!

I'd love to read this book (and the rest of the books he's written) on a new Kindle!

Ice little office. I don't feel so bad now, considering the only space we had for my computer was the living room. Although, I do envy the view. Wish we could have seen it. Nice insight into your life.

Hey! Where did you get that accent. Y'all sound kinda funny.
Don't worry my desk is much worse.
Thanks for sharing the video.
randymir@gmail.com
Scott, the video of your office could be a fake, like the moon landing. How appropos that we can't see the "mountains"!
Keep on blogging! Count me in for the Kindle!

Awesome to see your writing space Scott! I'm very disappointed that I didn't get to see the mountains though!

Hi Scott,
Great job on the video, I am enjoying getting to know you a bit more with every new blog post.

Great post and contest

Wish I could watch the video but I can't with my computer, it's messed up. :( Love the blog tour!
purposedrivenlife4you at gmail dot com
My desk is a disaster area DVD's and books everywhere
That explains the bizarre lack of "m's" in the names L.C. Glazebrook, Scott Nicholson, or inside any Nicholson ebooks. Plus, it explains the ebook name changes from The Manor to Creative Spirit. Everyone, buy these ebooks and see for yourself what I'm talking about. Also, I think it would be fun to see your mountain view in the light some time. varbonoff22 at cox dot net
I'm sad to say that I'm having trouble with streaming videos today. Seems my internet provider is having issues. :( I hope to be able to watch this later or tomorrow.
Until then, happy Sunday Scott and all. :)

I love getting these "behind the scences" looks at your life, Scott. Great stuff!

A fun experient, don't proofread and let readers guess which coputer you are using. A story about uies rising from their tobs would be ausing.

Watched it with the You Tube audio transcribed into capitons (have to, am deaf) ---- Mayor Guilianni? Such a mystery!
Great to see your cubbyhole.
Do you work only after dark?
And what's the name of the dinosaur on the other desk?
He he. Good video Scott. Like your muse. Figured you did most writing at night. Reg
Hi Scott,
Great video and subliminal message!

i LOVE THIS BLOG TOUR--- i'M THE FIRST ONE THIS TIME! THATS AWSOME!
i.pearson@comcast.net
Are you really disorganized?
kissinoak at frontier dot com
What I'm the first one to leave a message and I'm in California? You guys at the East Coast are a lazy bunch (or you actually have a life--unlike me, ha). I agree with Scott's "subliminal" message: BUY HIS BOOKS.
Scott, you look very decent and professional at your desk. Now, I'm beginning to wonder if Monster A Go-Go made up all this stuff about goats. Then again, you are an actor as a second or third professions, so who knows? Okay, I'll leave it at that. Great blogtour. I'm going to be so bored once it is over with.

Wow! I'm first? That never happens!
Great video, thanks for sharing details about your writing process.
Thanks to all of your blog hosts too!

no witty comment today...brain is tired. spvaughan@yahoo.com
I love multi-media! The m's busted? Was it a very important key for some game? It would be more interesting if it produced random letters. I would like to use that excuse for my typing gaffs, but they are more varied than just "m" words. My wife would like me to have a video produced in my office if it means cleaning it up! Never!!

You ARE from the south. Listen to that accent! Wish we could have seen the view. :)
Can't believe I'm first to comment. Where is everyone today. Nice to hear your voice Scott. Like the subliminal message at the end too!
Hope you're having a good weekend.
All the best to you!

You can work on two books at a time? Impressive. I am easily distracted. I can work on two parts of the same one but not two seperate ones.
Thanks for the chance, scary writer! :)
ljatwood at gmail dot com
I read The Red Church in the readathon this weekend and it grabs you from the beginning.
I love the "behind the scenes" look at a writer's process.

So.... This is where the magic happens!
Hehe, thanks for an inside peek at your space.
Stefanie647@msn.com
Now I know why you write about ghosts and scarey things - there you are busy typing away at your computer in the middle of the night, look up and see a reflection in the window. I've done that a time or two, and it scares the crap out of me!
Carol
That subliminal comment at the end of the video was really cute.
kellysydow@yahoo.com
Nice workspace, but so small, although I guess if you always make a mess of it, keeping it small makes clearing up the mess easier...
I remember reading your writings in the local newspaper. I believe that supporting your local writers is very important. Thank you for the opportunity to enter this contest.
Two computers, huh? I can relate to that.
kristiedonelson(at)gmail(dot)com
Well my soundboard doesn't work here, so I'll just say.. Oh, awesome video! (and watch it at home, later)

Now that I'm on a computer that will let me play the video I have no sound. I just can't win! If I think of it, I'll try to watch it when I get home this weekend. Sounds like an interesting post!

I love that he uses local legends and history in his books; that adds a layer of authenticity that's hard to recreate.

Thanks for the very friendly blog. I'm always interested in an author's working desk. I first became interested in authors when I started reading the novels of Ernest Hemingway, years ago. He wrote with pencil and paper. He was a drinker who had to put down 500 words before his first drink.
byonge@lonepinetv.com
Hmmm... Well, at least you ADMIT that you cleaned up your area a bit... You've removed all of the shockingly brazen goat centerfilds from PLAYPEN magazine, had your monthly bath, put on clean store-bought clothes and, although the camera didn't show it, you looked like you were actually wearing SHOES! I am impressed.
What I was really surprised to see in this "sanitized for viewing" version of your work space was that your framed autographed photo of your dream hunk Ned Beatty was no where to be seen...especially since it's autographed to you: "To Scott, YOU make me SQUEAL! Ned Beatty"
How about a tour of your goat shed or your basement (with that big pit in it in which you keep that woman you insist is your "wife")???
Cheers!
Wow, this is great! What a generous giveaway!

LOVE THE VIDEOS and the insight into the day of a life of Scott. Do you know that your daughter's desk is bigger than yours-don't you think as a writer it's time to get a bigger working space.

Tried the Transcribe Audio feature on Youtube on your video. It didn't do a very job of transcribing - I couldn't follow what you were talking about. Oh well, at least, I'm trying my best to visit every stop on your blog tour. :)

Hi Scott,
Thank you for "Drummer Boy." I'm a little late thanking you but I got it just as I was leaving for Bangkok and now I'm in Hanoi and my internet has been intermittent---ranging from very good to non-existent.
I think you need a bigger desk so you can spread out more!

Cool setup! We need to see the window view though. love the ghostie on the computer screen ;-D
Hi Scott,
Your subliminal message worked so well that I bought a bunch of your books a few days before I saw it! That's awesome manipulation there.
I loved seeing your work space. I would love to have two computers to work at -- as it is, I have to share mine with my daughter. She has to get off it when I come home from work.
This hasn't worked out very well. She used to love it when I came home from work. She'd run and give me hugs and kisses. Now she glares at me from my computer and I swear she growls and hisses at me when my wife isn't looking.
Thanks for the chance to win,

@Greg, I actually have work spread across four computers, two of them for my "day job," but the Internet life spills onto all of them!
