Scott Nicholson's Kindle Giveaway Guest Blog

Hello all. The day has come for Scott's guest blog. He decided to do the post as a video. Shiny! All the information on how you can win a Kindle and other prizes is below. Good luck my lovelies.

Scott Nicholson is author of The Skull Ring, Speed Dating with the Dead, Drummer Boy, and nine other novels, five story collections, four comics series, and six screenplays. A journalist and freelance editor in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, he often uses local legends in his work. This tour is sponsored byAmazon, Kindle Nation Daily, and Dellaster Design.

To be eligible for the Kindle DX, simply post a comment below with contact info. Feel free to debate and discuss the topic, but you will only be entered once per blog. Visit all the blogs on the tour and increase your odds. I’m also giving away a Kindle 3 through the tour newsletter and a Pandora’s Box of free ebooks to a follower of “hauntedcomputer” on Twitter.

For each book that cracks the Top 100 in the Kindle store, I’ll throw in an extra Kindle 3 giveaway. So tell your friends and help out. Thanks for playing. Complete details at http://www.hauntedcomputer.com/blogtour.htm

Hi, Scott. Steve O'Rourke here, better known to you from the Amazon Horror Book thread as "Nick Jones" (which is the name of my addiction). It's cool that you've shown us your workspace, but I wish the Godzilla model had been displayed more prominently! ;)

It's pretty neat to see other people's workspace. I think you can tell a lot about a person by looking at their desk.

Thanks for sharing the "behind the scenes" look into your life :) I'm picturing you writing two stories at once, typing one with your right hand, the other with your left.

Ice little office. I don't feel so bad now, considering the only space we had for my computer was the living room. Although, I do envy the view. Wish we could have seen it. Nice insight into your life.

That explains the bizarre lack of "m's" in the names L.C. Glazebrook, Scott Nicholson, or inside any Nicholson ebooks. Plus, it explains the ebook name changes from The Manor to Creative Spirit. Everyone, buy these ebooks and see for yourself what I'm talking about. Also, I think it would be fun to see your mountain view in the light some time. varbonoff22 at cox dot net

I'm sad to say that I'm having trouble with streaming videos today. Seems my internet provider is having issues. :( I hope to be able to watch this later or tomorrow.

What I'm the first one to leave a message and I'm in California? You guys at the East Coast are a lazy bunch (or you actually have a life--unlike me, ha). I agree with Scott's "subliminal" message: BUY HIS BOOKS.
Scott, you look very decent and professional at your desk. Now, I'm beginning to wonder if Monster A Go-Go made up all this stuff about goats. Then again, you are an actor as a second or third professions, so who knows? Okay, I'll leave it at that. Great blogtour. I'm going to be so bored once it is over with.

I love multi-media! The m's busted? Was it a very important key for some game? It would be more interesting if it produced random letters. I would like to use that excuse for my typing gaffs, but they are more varied than just "m" words. My wife would like me to have a video produced in my office if it means cleaning it up! Never!!

Thanks for the very friendly blog. I'm always interested in an author's working desk. I first became interested in authors when I started reading the novels of Ernest Hemingway, years ago. He wrote with pencil and paper. He was a drinker who had to put down 500 words before his first drink.

Monster A Go-Go said...

Hmmm... Well, at least you ADMIT that you cleaned up your area a bit... You've removed all of the shockingly brazen goat centerfilds from PLAYPEN magazine, had your monthly bath, put on clean store-bought clothes and, although the camera didn't show it, you looked like you were actually wearing SHOES! I am impressed.

What I was really surprised to see in this "sanitized for viewing" version of your work space was that your framed autographed photo of your dream hunk Ned Beatty was no where to be seen...especially since it's autographed to you: "To Scott, YOU make me SQUEAL! Ned Beatty"

How about a tour of your goat shed or your basement (with that big pit in it in which you keep that woman you insist is your "wife")???

Cheers!

Hi Scott,

Your subliminal message worked so well that I bought a bunch of your books a few days before I saw it! That's awesome manipulation there.

I loved seeing your work space. I would love to have two computers to work at -- as it is, I have to share mine with my daughter. She has to get off it when I come home from work.

This hasn't worked out very well. She used to love it when I came home from work. She'd run and give me hugs and kisses. Now she glares at me from my computer and I swear she growls and hisses at me when my wife isn't looking.
