Hello all. September 2nd is my birthday. Thus, the creative blog title this week. Well technically my b-day is over since it's after 1 a.m. here, but you know I can still do a fun blog title. Right? Anyhow, on to Jennifer's Crazy for Books question.
Do you judge a book by its cover?
I can't say that I do, or at least I don't actively notice myself judging a book by it's cover. I do tend to judge a book by it's title. A great title is usually what draws me in when I go book shopping. Fabulous cover art just makes the book extra cool. However, I do have one weird book cover turn off. You know when they turn a book into a film, and they re-release the book with the film poster type covers. I really don't like that. I try to avoid buying those covers if I can, and find the book with one of the pre-film covers. For the life of me I can't figure out why that bothers me so much. I mean the book is the same inside. Hmm...I actually can think of a couple reasons why it bothers me, but I'm not going to babble about it right now.
I was a dummy last week and didn't look to see that Follow Friday now has a question. I actually used my eyes this time, so here is the question and it's answer.
What is your favorite brick and mortar bookstore?
Love the Half Price Book Store. The books really are half price. It doesn't help me curb my book addiction though. I went there a few weeks ago an bought something like 14 books. Perhaps more than that considering that two of the novels were two books in one volume, and one was the complete works of Jane Austen. Oh well, reading is a good addiction. It feeds your mind. Sometimes it doesn't feed your pocket book though. Ha ha.
